The Moment Everything Changed
Like many people, there was a time when I measured my life through achievement, responsibility and the roles I played.
Then life changed.
In the space created by loss, I realised I wasn’t my career. I wasn’t my accomplishments. I wasn’t the identities I had built or the stories I’d spent a lifetime believing about myself.
For the first time, I experienced a quiet sense of freedom that came not from becoming someone new, but from remembering something that had always been there.
One question stayed with me.
If I wasn’t those things… who was I?
That question became the beginning of everything that followed.
Seeing a Different Pattern
My career began in film and television, working with organisations including Disney before becoming one of Australia’s first female television commercial directors. Later, as Head of Broadcast for the Commonwealth Bank of Australia and founder of a successful brand and media agency, I worked with leaders, entrepreneurs and organisations navigating change, growth and transformation.
My years in branding taught me that organisations thrive when they know who they are. Their identity shapes every decision they make, how they communicate, how they lead and how they’re experienced by others.
Over time, I realised exactly the same principle applies to people.
Across every industry I noticed the same pattern. Success didn’t always create fulfilment. Knowledge didn’t always create wisdom. Strategy didn’t always create meaningful change. Transformation happened when people experienced themselves and their lives differently.
Identity sits at the centre of everything. It shapes how we lead, how we build relationships, how we make decisions and how we experience success. When identity is unclear, even achievement can leave us asking, “Who am I now?”
As technology transforms the way we live and work, I believe this question will become one of the defining challenges of our time.
The Birth of Human Reconnection
Over many years I brought together ideas from leadership, psychology, creativity, philosophy and lived experience, searching for a deeper understanding of what allows people to flourish.
That exploration became Human Reconnection, a philosophy built on the belief that flourishing is not simply the result of what we achieve, but of the experiences we intentionally cultivate throughout our lives.
From this philosophy emerged The 7 Essential Human Experiences™, a framework exploring the experiences that shape identity, resilience, creativity, belonging, purpose and meaning.
To help people apply these ideas in everyday life, I developed the Truth Identification Process™ and the Human Reconnection Experience™. Together, they provide a practical way for people to reconnect with what is authentically true and intentionally cultivate the experiences that support human flourishing.
My Work Today
Today I share Human Reconnection® through keynote speaking, workshops, private guidance, education and the Human Reconnection Experience™, helping individuals, leaders and organisations navigate change without losing sight of who they are.
I also founded The Highland Woman®, a women’s community inspired by the Human Reconnection® philosophy, creating opportunities for women to experience greater connection, belonging, creativity and personal growth.
Everything I create is guided by one simple belief.
The future of humanity depends not only on how intelligently we innovate, but on how intentionally we experience being human.
If this work resonates with you, I’d love to continue the conversation.
